While Bobbie Esposito (they/them) was studying to be an Intimacy Coordinator, they were looking for folks in the field who worked on sensitive content with minors. To Bobbie’s surprise, they were always met with the explanation that because minors cannot have simulated sex, intimacy coordinators were not involved with their scenes. This led Bobbie to developing their own process to advocate for minors on Stage and TV/Film sets.

Bobbie combines their training as an Intimacy Coordinator with over a decade of experience working with minors in various movement and artistic spaces. Additionally, Bobbie’s decade of training and performing as an Actor has given them a first hand account of how difficult it can be for young Actors to say “No.”

These experiences greatly informed Bobbie’s approach to explaining boundaries in a way that is age appropriate, answering questions minors might have about script content, and creating nourishing spaces for young actors.

Some of the services that Bobbie can offer are emotional support for young actors, consulting and educating around LGBTQIA+ issues for youth, meaningful and age appropriate discussions around sensitive script content, and when necessary, Intimacy Coordination.

Bobbie’s educational background includes a BA in Theater Acting from Muhlenberg College, as well as being certified as an Intimacy Coordinator by Consent Wizardry, and mentored by Mia Schacter. Bobbie is also certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Behavioral Health.
